As a disabled independent scholar and artist, I work to make
Its All So Monstrous as accessible and inclusive as I can, regardless of our abilities and the technologies we use. Unfortunately, the technologies we use do have limits in their abilities to support our abilities.
I work to align with the
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) , which provide internationally recognized standards for digital accessibility. While I can’t always be fully compliant (alas, I am only human and will miss things), I work to make improvements were possible and regularly review site accessibility. So, as technologies, accessibility practices, and community needs evolve, so too will this website.
Accessibility Features
This site uses the OneTap accessibility toolbar (which you’re on right
now), so you can personalize your experience with my work to suit your needs/preferences.
I work to format the site in simple text an include ALT text on images
where it’s supported. The design choices are what make most sense for my ND brain and pass a readability test by my dyslexic bestie, but I am aware that the choices are what work best for my brain-body system.
Availability of these features does depend on the website’s configuration, how you’re accessing the site (it’s optimized for desktops and tablets), and ongoing maintenance.
