About Nadia
I’m Nadia Daniels-Moehle (she/her), an interdisciplinary artist, writer, and independent scholar. My work and studies are rooted in the monstrous and monster theory, situated perception, and living at the intersection of queerness, autism, and invisible disability.
I co-run the non-profit Look Wonder Discover that cultivates curiosity and explores futures literacy as something we can all sink our teeth into. I’ve been at it since 2010.
You’ll usually find me researching-writing-reading in a book-lined home in a Michigan forest, where I with my loved ones and a particularly small and peculiar dog.
About It’s All So Monstrous:
It’s All So Monstrous is the only way I can describe my work a in a sentence. And a hub for my art, writing, and independent scholarship.
I’m currently sharing my notes, reflections, and connections from my work, research, and studies as I chip away at my thesis and go on many side quests along the way. My work is rooted in monster theory, the monstrous, and situated perception. I choose monsters because they’re an invitation to stay with the spooky, to peek under our beds, to ask questions. Because in times like these, we need our monsters to light (or more appropriately, darken) our ways into more just and complex futures.
