Natural Forms of Time Management: Inspired by a White Oak
Gouache, watercolor, and acrylic on paper

Today’s piece was inspired by a leafy microcosm. The fall hues of golds, oranges, browns; the shifting light shining through; the intricacy of so much transition.

Reminiscent of my childhood I stuffed my pockets with acorn caps and leaves as I walked home. And as I walked home I wondered how I could affix the foraged beauty to something. Eyes melded with acorn caps and instead of making a Halloween mushroom pie, I painted leaves.
